Menace II Society (1993)

A film about a teenager trying to make a better life for himself after commit various crimes. Just when he betters himself, finds out his girlfriend is pregnant and is leaving he troubled neighborhood that’s when it goes bad.

Never seeing this film before it was kind of eye opening I mean stuff like this does happen in real life and it really is unfortunate. I wouldn’t say this is a brilliant film but it does in fact make people aware of what is actually going on in certain places. I think it did a great job showing viewers what is happening and there is not a moment when you would get bored of watching.

I wouldn’t say I will be rushing to watch this film anytime soon, but it wasn’t too bad and if you haven’t seen it before I’d say it is worth watching.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010)

A film about the journey a kid goes through trying to make himself one of the most noticed students in middle school. Of coarse everyone knows that there is going to be a whole bunch of issues a long the way but this middle school student Greg Heffley is writing it all down in his journal.

I have to admit I have watched this movie 3 times in the last 4 days, it is just such a funny movie! I seriously do not think there was a bit when I wasn’t giggling and I am one week of 18 so that says something being a kids film and all. This is a great family film, everyone would most defiantly love watching it and I mean that as in all ages. There are so many key bits that I can just remember in my head and I still giggle at them.

I honestly think that this is the best kids film I have seen this year a film released in 2010 has not made me laugh so much thus far well expect Get Him To The Greek but I am talking about kids films, this is defiantly going to be a favorite of mine.

Wolf Creek (2005)

This is a film based on true life events that has happened in Australia, it is about three backpackers of the many victims of a murderous local. Basically it has four real main characters through out this movie, the three backpackers and the killer. After the backpackers finishes sightseeing at Wolf Creek National Park they unfortunately have car trouble that is when the “friendly” local comes along and all starts to go wrong.

For a movie filmed in Australia I honestly have to say this is the best I have seen yet, I have seen more then a few films that have been located in Australia and this by far has topped it. I am most certain I found this movie a lot more interesting as it is actually based on true life events, I mean who isn’t interested in seeing a movie based on true life? I know I’m always up for it.

I would have to say that I really have nothing to fault in this movie, I think it did well. My expectation was defiantly what I thought it be and I’m not complaining.

Eden Lake (2008)

A couple camping out at Eden Lake for a relaxing weekend are disturbed by a bunch of teenagers whom later end up stealing their car. In an attempt to get it back they soon meet up with the teenagers and that where everything starts to go wrong.

Myself being a huge fan of Jack O’Connell aka Cook from “Skins” I was completely convinced that he did a brilliant role in this movie, him being the let say “leader” of the teenagers group and most defiantly the trouble maker is a role that suits him so well. I find it completely shocking yet not shocking that this all started over the death of Brett (Jack O’Connell) dog even though the teenagers did steal the couples car it most certainly was obvious that the death of a dog had given great anger and thats when it all starts to go wrong, basically a group of teenagers vs two adults.

The only thing in this movie I am going to make a fuss over is that the end was way to predicable, I am not saying it was a bad ending I just knew what was going to happen. Most defiantly a good film, I’ll be surely watching it again some time soon.

The Experiment (2010)

A film about 26 non imprisoned men sent to a prison to participate in an experiment. The experiment is a psychological experiment which leads the men to split into two groups, the prison guards and the prisoners. Each participate will be payed $1,000 a day but only if they play by the rules… will they last, go watch for yourself.

I have no doubt in saying that this is one of the best films I have seen this year, this movie made me angry not as in angry at the film angry at what was happening I am not kidding when I said I just wanted to get in the film and kill some of them, I know it’s just a film but still it got to me. Basically the experiment is a psychological role playing experiment, where the guards end up turning on the prisons. Who knew that this wouldn’t end up being a friendly 14 day experiment with a $14,000 pay out at the end.

I do not want to give to much away as I am thinking some people may have not seen this film but there is one thing I completely didn’t get and maybe you might feel that way if you watch it for yourself. I pretty much highly reccomend this movie, so someone should defiantly watch it and discuss it with me!

Splinter (2008)

A couple, a convict and his girlfriend trapped by splinter parasite or zombies.. if that is even what you’d want to call them. I have seen many movies that go along this story lines… young couple decides to go camping, young couple ends up in a life threatening situation, weird shit starts to happen. Okay, so I am sure lots have people have seen movies along those lines but if I have to be all out serious I found nothing that made me like this movie anymore then other movies I have seen with a similar story line.

There was something about the convict played by Shea Whigham that just made me see a lot of similary to Woody Harrelson whom played a part in Zombieland even though they played two completely different characters and there was basically no humour what so ever coming from the role Shea Whigham played I just guess it may have been the looks that made me see a similarity.

Overall I must say I didn’t get a whole lot of enjoyment out of this movie but the cuteness of Paulo Costanzo defiantly made my viewing a lot better then if he wasn’t apart of the film, but back to the film was alright for a film that made the bad couple and the good couple work together.

Splice (2009)

So basically to put into the most simplest terms this film is about two scientist splicing a human and animal DNA together. As simple as it seems three words come to mind after I watched this film… boring.. interesting.. disturbing, odd words to have together seeing as boring is one of them. What I most found disturbing in this film is the sex scene, I mean okay no one usually finds a sex scene actually disturbing but honestly this was basically just awkward to watch.

Here I am going to list some of the plot keyword set for this film: Experiment, spontaneous sex, splatter, cowboy sex position, female nudity, abandoned farmhouse, love, pregnant from rape, fully clothed sex, monster rape, nerd, orgasm. They are just some of the keywords that are listed and from what it seems this sounds like most of those under-budgeted films with amateur actors though possible minus the monster rape/ pregnant from rape but in some movies I am sure this is also included.

I wasn’t expecting a whole lot from this film so I am certainly not disappointed, it’s not my thing and I will possible never be interested in such a film but if your into that sort of thing then by all means check it out, as for me I think I will be sticking to the splice ice cream :P.

What every girl wishes for.. teeth in her vagina. I have two words for this movie disgustingly great, there is just something about this movie that I quiet enjoyed it is a lot different from other movies I have seen and has a pretty outrageous story line. It has low budget directing and amateur actors, I can see that some people may think that this movie could be one of the worse but I seem to think not. I have one thing left to say, you won’t want to be getting into bed with her.

Being the second Pet Sematary but not written by Stephen King I thought it movie was rather decent, it didn’t live up to the greatness of the first one but it was not bad at all. I thought the writer did a fine job and made this one have a lot more craziness then the first one. Overall it is a good movie but I much prefer the first.

I would have to say this would be up there with one of my favorite movies written by Stephen King but I must say Rose Red and IT would be my all time favorite’s. Being a movie from the 80’s I was impressed by this one a lot, I have watched it numerous amounts of times and there has not been a time when I have once gotten sick off it. I think this film shows the right amount of suspense, you know how sometimes you just get those movies that are you just too over-done? Well this one was just great in my opinon, defiantly worth watching.

For a zombie movie I could say I wasn’t really that impressed, I guess I am just a very fussy girl. I thought the effects were possible a bit too over-done, I am probably only saying that because if something just looks entirely fake to me I am pretty turned off by it. As for the vegetarian zombie, seriously are you trying to make this into a zombie love story a little bit - oh how heartwarming. Overall I guess it was a decent movie, nothing amazing though.

I absolutley loved the story line of this movie and also being a huge fan of movies Ellen Page has played a role in I guess I could say I wouldn’t have been dissapointed. I actually bought this movie over a year ago and first sat down and watched it I was annoyed with it, if you seen it I think you know what I might be talking about I was basically annoyed with the squares and different scene put out on the screen so I turned it off which now I am regreating. As a matter of fact if I put aside the part that annoyed me it actually was a great movie. If you love Ellen Page you should defiantly watch this.

Faces of Death IV (1990)

So basically thinking how disgusting the first Faces of Death was but not being so disgusted with the second two this one lived up to the same as the first one it defiantly had more gruesome moments then the second and third. I would have to say there is a few key points in this film that I found disgusting the first would be the bungee jumping accident, I am not entirely sure if this scene is actual footage but it was gross even if it was real or not real. Other scene would have to be when a guy did not pay his taxes of something like $18 getting his legs and arms tied and his body ripped apart by the strength of horses so basically this one had as much gruesome as the first though I would most defiantly like to be a guaranteed what in this film is real in this and what is a fake.

This story line was pretty damn great in my opinion but one think that kind of bugged me what that they made the characters show a bit too much humor, I mean if you are basically told that in 2 hours you are going to die if you don’t escape would you seriously put in time for humor? But I know its only a movie, the humor was indeed funny I just thought it would be a whole lot better if everything was taken more seriously. I absolutely loved Emilie de Ravin role in this movie she was so cute and defiantly did play the part she was giving I would have to say she was my favorite character in this film. I would have to say this is defiantly a film everyone should check out.

For a movie based on real life event this did a excellent job, this movie was based around the troubles that a family is going through financially and is shows what one mother does to get by in life by becoming a masseuse/ prostitute. It also shows the viewer the trouble one can go through by taking drugs and the risk of losing a family if you make the wrong work choices. I do recommend this film obviously to someone in there teens and older as it is most defiantly not a kids film. Good job Jeniffer Lover Hewitt I most certainly did love how you played out your role in this film.

Loving Ashton Kutcher as an actor this was a film I thought I was guaranteed to love this film, though I wouldn’t say I loved it but it was defiantly a good film. I don’t want to ruin the movie if you haven’t see in but I must say I did like the way the story line went I was most certainly happy with the ending. I couldn’t of ask for anything more from this movie because I have nothing to fault.

I honestly don’t even know where to start, I kind of honestly was a little “eh” all through out this movie I mean I actually got everything that was happening but I mean I think possibly it was a bit too over done. That is really all I can complain about, this movie was full of acton, suspense and it contastanty keeps you wanting to know what is going to happen. Overall It was a good movie and I am sure it was a great movie in other peoples eyes, just wasnt a movie I was all that interested in.

This movie was a bit too predictable in my eyes, even my Nan figured out what was going to happen half way through though despite how predictable it was for Brittney Murphy’s last movie role I think she did a terrific job and I would have loved to see her in upcoming films but sadly that won’t be happening. Brittney Murphy character in my opinion showed resemblance to Angelina Jolie character in Girl Interrupted only in appearance though but as for the movie it was decent but a bit too predictable for my liking.
